Pinnate tansymustard is an outstanding larval host plant (annual) for many whites, orangetips, and marbles including the Anthocharis sara complex, the Anthocharis cethura complex, Euchloe hyantis ssp., Euchloe ausonides ssp., Euchloe olympia ssp. as well as Pontia and Artogeia species.
